Holding Intention
A space to soften, reconnect, and return to yourself.
Holding Intention is a yoga practice rooted in presence, connection, and the quiet work of listening inward. Through movement, breath, and stillness, we create space to pause, notice what matters and return to it- again and again.
Not something to achieve. Something to remember.
Rooted in the yogic concept of Sankalpa, this work invites you to connect with a deeper truth within yourself- one that isn't about becoming someone new, but about recognizing who you already are.
The Heart Behind Holding Intention
Teacher, Mother, and lifelong student of yoga.
I'm Erica, the teacher behind Holding Intention.
My journey with yoga began long before I ever stepped into a teacher training. I found the practice during a time when I felt deeply disconnected from myself—when I was learning what it meant to listen inward, to find my voice, and to come back to myself.
At first, I thought yoga was the shapes we made with our bodies. Over time, I began to understand that the practice was asking something much deeper of me.
How do I speak to myself?
How do I meet what I'm feeling?
Can I slow down enough to notice?
Can I be present without needing to change what is here?
Yoga became less about what I could do on the mat and more about how I moved through the world.
That is what I hope to offer my students: a space to slow down, breathe, listen, and reconnect with the body and the present moment. A place to notice your thoughts without judging them or becoming them. To observe, adjust, soften, and return.
Yoga helped me come home to myself.
I'm not here to teach you to become a certain version of yourself. I'm here to offer a space to hold yourself with curiosity, to notice what is here, and to return.
Holding Intention grew from that experience—a space to practice coming back to ourselves, again and again.
