The Teacher Behind Holding Intention

Teacher, Mother, and lifelong student of yoga.

Meet Erica

Erica’s journey as a yoga teacher began in 2018, when she took a leap and completed her first training in the lush jungle of Costa Rica. But the path to actually teaching wasn’t immediate. Wrestling with self-imposed limitations, perfectionism, and comparison, it took her nearly a year to move through her inner blocks and allow herself to step into the role of teacher. For much of her life, Erica struggled with feeling disconnected—stuck in her head, hiding from the world, and feeling disconnected from her body unsure how to show up authentically. Yoga became a powerful tool to reconnect, find stillness, and drop into the present moment with more compassion. It taught her how to meet herself exactly where she is, without judgment or pressure to be anything other than herself. Softening to the judgement that once held her back.

Her classes reflect this journey: gentle, and real. Grounded in presence, kindness, and authenticity—an invitation to breathe, slow down, and show up as you are.

Now, in this stage of life—as a mom, and having been a mom-to-be—Erica feels a deep calling to support other women navigating the beautiful, messy, and transformative journey of motherhood.

She teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Sound Therapy, Prenatal, and Baby & Me yoga, offering a mix of movement and stillness, structure and surrender. She completed her Prenatal Yoga training in 2023 while pregnant, Restorative Yoga training in 2024 during her first year of motherhood, and recently completed in a 50-hour Yoga Nidra training.

Erica teaches from lived experience—through the messy, magical, up-and-down waves of life. Her hope is to hold space for others to feel a little more at home in themselves, just as they are. No need to be perfect. No need to “get it right.” Embracing the flow of life— messiness and all, breath by breath.

Outside of teaching, Erica is a lifelong student- of yoga, creativity, and everyday life, She recently began exploring the pottery wheel, a long-time dream turned grounding practice in patience and imperfection.

She spends her days with her 2.5 year old son, Rivi, embracing the joy and chaos of the toddler era.

Erica feels most at home outdoors- biking, soaking up the sun, camping, snowboarding- or in quiet, creative moments, whether it's through interior design, art, fashion, ceramics or trying new things: like surfing!
